There are many wonderful window blinds you can purchase today for your home today which will help to create a certain look within the room which they are installed. You are sure to find ones that are perfectly matched to the decor of the room in which they will be hung. Although some people will employ someone to install their blinds for them this can prove expensive for others. So instead there are now plenty of blinds around which enable you to do this yourself. Below we look at the steps you will need to take when it comes to how to hang blinds correctly.
First and foremost, probably one of the most important blind accessories is a cleat or a cord holdfast. A cleat can be a plastic or metal object with two projecting horns to which cords may be fastened by winding the cord around the horns, to keep them from slipping. A cord holdfast as the name depicts is used to hold the cords "fast" by winding the cord around a peg which is normally angled at about 45 degrees. So that when a blind, for example a venetian blind, is pulled up, the cords can be secured to the cleat or holdfast to prevent the blind from coming down.
