When you have the brackets fitted securely in place now you can actually get the blind itself and fit this into the head rail. Once the blind has been securely fitted into the head rail of the bracket you can now cover up the opening with the plastic or metal cap cover. When you are fitting the blinds in position and you are finding it difficult to place them in you need to check that the brackets are truly parallel if not then move the bracket so that they are.
We all know that a vertical blind is mad up of different parts that hold them together. The parts include the rods, the cords, the slats, tilt control, and mounting brackets. These parts make up the replaceable parts of a vertical blinds and these can be easily found in your local department store or even online. The following are the parts of the vertical window blinds:
Other very useful blind accessories are cord connectors. The is especially useful when a blind has several cords, for example a roman blind, which needs to be connected to make one cord. This small discreet bit of kit has apertures at each end and normally comes in 2 parts that can be screwed together. The main pull cord which is thicker than the other cords is inserted into the hole and knotted to prevent it from pulling through the hole. The multitude of cords are inserted into the other hole and are also knotted, the two halves are then joined together to make a single unit. You now have numerous cords going into one hole and only one cord coming out of the other. The cords are connected.
After drilling the holes which are parallel to each other you are now in a position to screw the brackets in place. It is a good idea before you actually screw the brackets to the walls is to insert some wall anchors into the holes. These will help to provide a more secure fit of the screws.
