Slats. This part is the most important part of the blind. This is because it determines the beauty and overall effect of the blinds. The slats can be made from different materials such as wood, bamboo, fabric, and woven wood. It also comes in different sizes to bring about the desired effect with the window blinds.
Ladders. The ladders are what hold the horizontal slats in place. They are threaded through each slat, thus creating a ladder look. Tapes. Typically found on wood or aluminum window blinds, tapes are unlike ladders in that they run down the front of the slats to bind them together. Bottom Rail. The end of the window blind construction, this is hardware that is used as an anchor to hold the blinds in place. The bottom rail is normally coordinated to the window blind itself.
