Pulling on this string allows the blind to be rolled up and down, letting in light in the same fashion as vertical blinds. They are a little less practical for all patio doors, but some people prefer their aesthetic value.
Tapes. These can be normally found in aluminum or window blinds. Unlike ladders, tapes run down the front part of the slats to glue them together. Bottom Rail. This is a vertical blind part that is used as an anchor to hold the binds together. This is located at the end of the window blind, and normally matches the window blind.
