After drilling the holes which are parallel to each other you are now in a position to screw the brackets in place. It is a good idea before you actually screw the brackets to the walls is to insert some wall anchors into the holes. These will help to provide a more secure fit of the screws.
Now you take the bracket for the right hand side of the window and do the same as you did in step one. Again make sure that the open part of the bracket is facing towards you. Plus you need to ensure that the position of the holes for the right hand bracket are parallel with the holes on the left hand side and this is where you would use your spirit or laser level to check.
