Slats. This part is pretty self explanatory. The slats are the parts of the blind that run either vertically or horizontally depending on your type of window blind. Slats are also made from various materials like wood, fabric, bamboo, vinyl or aluminum. Groovers. These are used exclusively with fabric blinds to cover and protect the fabric. Usually when groovers are not used, weights are at the bottom of the fabric slat.
They're also slightly heavier than their real counterparts. So, if you're attempting to cover a large bay window, it might be worth have separate blinds for each section. One large blind could weigh down too heavily on the head rail, eventually causing it to break, leaving your faux wooden blinds in a large heap on the floor.
