Ladders. The ladders are what hold the horizontal slats in place. They are threaded through each slat, thus creating a ladder look. Tapes. Typically found on wood or aluminum window blinds, tapes are unlike ladders in that they run down the front of the slats to bind them together. Bottom Rail. The end of the window blind construction, this is hardware that is used as an anchor to hold the blinds in place. The bottom rail is normally coordinated to the window blind itself.
Now you take the bracket for the right hand side of the window and do the same as you did in step one. Again make sure that the open part of the bracket is facing towards you. Plus you need to ensure that the position of the holes for the right hand bracket are parallel with the holes on the left hand side and this is where you would use your spirit or laser level to check.
